Will you show solidarity with survivors?

Commit to moving every day for 31 days and raise £150 for Rape Crisis England & Wales. Run, stroll, roll or stretch - the choice is yours!

All of the money raised will go towards our mission of ending sexual violence and abuse for good. And making sure that no victim or survivor is left without access to specialist support.

By stepping out in solidarity together, we can make a real difference.

Make a difference

Ask family, friends and colleagues to sponsor you and raise money to support our life-changing work.

What your support allows us to do

  • Raise awareness of the prevalence and impact of sexual violence and abuse.

  • Fight for systems change across society for victims and survivors.

  • Work to make sure that specialist support is available to victims and survivors whenever they need it.

Join our movement and help us fight for a future where all women and girls live safely, freely and with dignity.

Make the challenge yours

To make signing up quick and easy, we've given you two daily targets to choose from. But you've also got the option to go lower or higher by setting your own!

21

minutes a day

That's 150 minutes a week - the minimum amount of moderate physical activity recommended by the UK Chief Medical Officers - and 650 minutes across the month.

50

minutes a day

Got more time or feel like more of a challenge? Then why not move for 50 minutes a day to mark 50 years of the Rape Crisis movement!

That's 350 minutes a week and 1,550 minutes across the month.

Or

set your own daily target

Whether you decide on 5 minutes or 2 hours a day, what matters is that you are showing solidarity with survivors.

Celebrate feminist history with us!

This year's challenge marks the third Step Out in Solidarity and comes as we prepare to celebrate 50 years of the Rape Crisis movement in England and Wales.

The first two years of Step Out in Solidarity were a huge success, with our wonderful supporters raising a total of £23,000 (including Gift Aid). But after hearing from you that the weather in February can make getting outside more difficult, we've decided to start this year's challenge a little later...

Step Out in Solidarity will now begin on 1st March and end on 31st March - which also happens to be Women’s History Month! And with 2024 being our 50th anniversary year, this new timing feels particularly special.

Step out in style

Once you've bagged your first donation, we'll send you a free Rape Crisis England & Wales T-shirt in the post!

Not only will you be able to wear your solidarity on your sleeve (ahem), but you'll also get to be one of the first people to show off our brand new T-shirt design.
